Reading & Talk (in Englisch), «One Helluva Hole»

With Jérémie Gindre (artist & writer) and Prof. Sascha Frühholz (Neuroscientist, University Zurich)
 
The artist and writer Jérémie Gindre will read from his novel «One Helluva Hole». Together with the neuroscientist Sascha Frühholz (professor for Cognitive and Affective Neuroscience, University Zurich) they will talk about brain trauma, emotions and science.
«One Helluva Hole» is one of the outcomes of Gindre’s ail residency that he undertook in 2011, at the Swiss Centre for Affective Sciences, University of Geneva. During the residency, he studied the effects of brain damage in Neuroscience thereby focusing on the emotional side of experiences and how this affects the brain.
 
Prof. Dr. Sascha Frühholz leads the Department for Cognitive and Affective Neuroscience at the Department of Psychology, University of Zurich. His research group focuses on the cognitive, psychological and neural processes that underlie the processing of visual, auditory and emotional stimuli.
